ALICE DE LA TOURETTE

AIST ETS (ITALIAN TOURETTE SYNDROME ASSOCIATION) AND CREATIONS FACTORY HAVE COLLABORATED TO CREATE A SHORT FILM WITH A STRONG SOCIAL IMPACT BUT WITH A LIGHT, FUNNY, AND IRONIC NARRATIVE: “ALICE DE LA TOURETTE.” THE SHORT FILM MARKS PAOLO FITTIPALDI'S DEBUT AS A DIRECTOR.

Alice is a girl who leads a normal life, even though she has something that makes her special: Tourette syndrome.
She tries to make things work out for the best, even though she often feels different and people make her feel out of place.

One day, while getting ready for an important job interview, he sees a TV commercial for some very special candies that promise miracles against all ailments.
Intrigued, she buys them and, with unexpected speed, they are delivered almost instantly.
Try the candy before you go out to prevent a crisis from ruining your chance at landing your dream job.

During the job interview, however, something unexpected happens. The interviewers in front of her start staring at her with wide eyes. Is this yet another failure?

A short film about Tourette syndrome is an opportunity to show everyone what it means to have this neurological disorder and what the real difficulties of the disease are. With sensitivity and a good dose of madness, Alice will open our eyes to what prejudice can do and the limits we sometimes set for ourselves! Because we can look beyond appearances, without judgments dictated by a lack of knowledge and, sometimes, by fear. Alice tells her truth, but she does so with imagination.

Alice De La Tourette is a Creations Factory production, executive produced by Beppe Platania Lucerna Entertainment, Out of Office and Itaca Film.The film was made with the contribution of PR FESR Toscana 2021–2027, as part of the Call for proposals for non-repayable grants for the production of cinematographic works – Year 2023, ,and with the support of Toscana Film Commission, Manifatture Digitali and the patronage of Municipality of Prato and the Municipality of Carmignano. .
